Off Site Field Experience
Advanced Trends in Education Class

Goal:  To authentically apply in-class learning to real world, relevant circumstances. During this off-site field experience, teachers must make strategic and thoughtfully planned efforts to communicate with the local Vietnamese community using only English, applying strategies learned in class for making content comprehensible and accessible. 

Content objective: Students will work collaboratively to learn about the community of My Tho in the Mekong Delta. Students will explore the following questions:
·      What is the history of this location?
·      What can I learn about the residents? 
·      Why is it a popular destination? 
·      How did it evolve into a popular destination?
